FACULTY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

1st CYCLE

FULL-TIME: 7 SEMESTERS PART-TIME: 8 SEMESTERS

The Production Management and Engineering degree programme combines modern knowledge and engineering skills with managerial competencies. Graduates of the courses will acquire knowledge in the following fields:

  • Organisation and management of production maintenance and the use of IT systems for its supervision
  • Selection of methods and techniques of the manufacturing process management according to pre-set parameters, resources, and operational conditions
  • Managerial decision-making based on costs
  • Reorganisation or optimisation of manufacturing systems in line with pre-set optimisation parameters.

2nd CYCLE

FULL-TIME: 3 SEMESTERS PART-TIME: 4 SEMESTERS

A 2nd CYCLE DEGREE PROGRAMME GRADUATE CAN:

  • Use knowledge of the construction, structure, types, and methods of managing manufacturing systems, as well as use methods, tools, and techniques of production management for the purpose of designing, organising, and optimising manufacturing systems.
  • Interpret, present, and document results of experiments, analyses, and observations of manufacturing processes, as well as present and document project tasks.
  • Develop a concept of an information system adjusted to the specificity and purposes of a select manufacturing company using a select system design methodology.
  • Use well-selected information and communication techniques to analyse and evaluate the performance of supply chains.
